GALLERY INFO

Mizuma Art Gallery opened in 1994. Since then it has been presenting artists from Japan and other Asian countries each with a unique voice, whose works aren't caught up in fleeting trends. Artists such as Aida Makoto, Yamaguchi Akira, Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba and many others have now achieved worldwide recognition. We also continue to introduce emerging artists to the international art scene.

Keeping up with the rapid expansion of Asia's contemporary art market, in 2008 Mizuma & One Gallery opened in Beijing and in autumn 2012 Mizuma Gallery Singapore opened in the Gillman Barracks gallery complex.

In recent years, we have also held exhibitions introducing Western artists previously unknown to Japanese audiences. We also participate in global art fairs such as Art Basel (Hong Kong and Miami), The Armory Show (New York), Frieze (London), Art Stage Singapore, FIAC (Paris), and ARCO Madrid.

Mizuma Art Gallery includes a Japanese tatami room in its exhibition space, making it unique among contemporary art galleries in Tokyo.
