AIDA Makoto @ Kirishima Open-Air Museum

We are pleased to announce AIDA Makotos solo exhibition, AIDA Makoto "The Road to World Heritage!! Meet the real AMK48 years old" at Kirishima Open-Air Museum.

The show will centre on the project MONUMENT FOR NOTHING II, which since 2008 has travelled throughout Japan including to numerous art universities. Also featured will be the series War Picture Returns, Harakiri School Girls and other works recognized as amongst Aidas greatest masterpieces. The exhibition is a rare chance to see so many collected major works from Aidas career to date.

Aida Makoto himself will be in residence at the venue until August 31st, where he will be holding an open studio.

NB Opening hours for Saturdays/Sundays and public holidays between 20th July
and 31st August are 9:00-19:00 (last entry 18:30)
Closed: Mondays (NB in the case of the public holiday on Tuesday 9/23, the Museum will be open on Monday 9/22)
